The Suspense of Unscripted Television

I really wanted to do a show where we let people tell their whole story, not just the 10 questions. Once you know how unscripted television is made, you can't un-know that. We stay friends with them after the show airs. And what was really lovely about this second season that we've done is that the families have started to connect. It's amazing. Like a mom who was very, very successful in taking down the sheriff who would not investigate her daughter's murder is now like giving instruction to a family whose loved one died of what was said to be a suicide.
