Rameses' Coronation Ceremony

In 1300 and 5 BCE, the Valley of the Kings was still lightly populated. Rameses could now formally complete his appearance as king. There is a decent chance that he held his coronation at Karnak. Two shrines on the south and north sides of this courtyard appeared behind one of the pylons. The buildings were small, just large enough for him to appear inside. It's possible that Rameses used these shrines in his first appearance as Pharaoh.
