Is It Democracy Versu Authoritarianism?

There is no coherent position possible, except give up being the global hegemon. And to some extent, you almost have to give up on american style capitalism. We shouldn't underestimate how much a lot of the military leadership are true believers in cold war idiology. They believe this crap? No, it's very then. But here's what i think these people believe. We americans do bad things for good reasons. Ever else does bad things for bad reasons. Anyone watching this knows this history.
