The Killing of Animals by Anthony Bourdain
The thing that grossed me out the most in this book was not the killing of people but the killing of actual animals because she goes to his slaughterhouse. She says a beef cow shits up to 15 times a day a total of 65 pounds of poop the weight of the average nine year old child and I think you're missing a calling as like some sort of literary critic my friend.
