The Impact of Light Pollution on the Night Sky

Until a little over a hundred years ago Newcastle was one of the first cities in the world to be lit with public street lights outside the world at night essentially was dark. You know today 83% of people around the world live under night like polluted skies 99% in Europe and North America have lost that connection to the night sky because they live under light polluted skies. Are you getting traction when you put your arguments to policymakers, decision makers are they receptive or do people say look you know this is a first world problem we're grateful we've got some lighting?
