The Commonwealth of Australia's Compensation Payment to Brittany Higgins
Linda Reynolds claims the settlement, believed to be over $1.5 million, was done quote in unseemly haste. And she suggests possible corrupt behaviour by the Albanese government. Attorney General Mark Dreyfus says this is simply not true and rules were followed. Government sources point out that final settlement was end of a process that lasted in negotiations between Higgins' lawyers for over 12 months.
