Fire Fighters - Is There an Academy?
Most fire fighters do one academy when they're hired. I did too. The first one was to get qualified as a fire fighter so that i could work as a reserve and fill in when when full time guys were off or injured. And you get shift qualified, and then eventually you're working 24 hour shifts as a reserve. But up until that point, you're responding in your own vehicle with guy gear,. You go to fires, and sometimes you get, you get to go inside, if it's still, you know, big enough.
