Is Growth Really Crucial?

I didn't know quite how to separate the really important from the less important, because I think we need to do some of all of them. Getting growth, making the welfare state more pro-growth with labor market policy and things like that are probably the things I would favor. But I'm open to the argument, but I haven't decided on it, that capital flows across borders are really highly destabilizing and should be reduced. It's much more complicated, but I'm pretty convinced that trade is not the dominant source of problems.
