The Math Behind CEOs' Compensation
Jay Patrick Doyle is CEO of Domino's and his compensation was almost nine million dollars in 2016. People look at that and rightly will say, well, yes, but if he just took less of a salary and gave that money to his workers, his workers could earn a living wage. That sounds very nice, but it exhibits a complete misunderstanding of the mathematics behind the thing.
