What Does This All Have to Do With Bit Coin?
In europe, they have been trying to completely eliminate some fossil fuel energy sources. This has meant an over reliance on renewable energy sources that can easily be disrupted in periods of abnormal weather. In china, things have been driven by the government's goalds to reduce coal consumption. On top of that, the regulated nature of the chinese market means that the utilities have not been able to raise rates on consumers in order to boost demand. The result has therefore been a situation in which power has to be rationed as there is just that much to go around.
