How to Read a Book With Children Under Three Years Old
Children under three have an absorbent mind. So rather than giving them a lesson about treating books carefully, they watch how we do it. We take it for granted that everyone knows how to turn pages. But actually it's again about slowing down so that the children can see how gently and respectfully we turn the pages. Around one year old, i often use board books because they're not, you know, their movements are just so raw and big, and they're not so careful. And with flat books, ye, around one year old,. the children love the flaps. If it's an accident, then i would say, oh, get ripped. Let's go and get some
