Is the EU Going to Pass a PFAS Ban?
The European Commission is set to propose a ban on forever chemicals. If passed, the ban would take effect within 18 months if there's an alternative available. The cost of producing forever chemicals has become too much for chemical companies. 3M announced last year that they will stop manufacturing PFAS by 2025.
