The Effects of Sin on the Body
The Bible recognizes the complexity of human behavior. Jesus thinks that having a broken body creates an environment where someone when they come to Jesus, that suffering has the chance to transform that person. Their experience of hardship has the ability both to display God's mercy and grace, but also to change that person, whether it's their body is healed or something else. That's how Jesus views the situation.
