Nabokov was a master of using the limitations of first person kind of against the reader he would create these first person narrators who were so winning and charismatic and fun to read that it would take you half the book to realize that the person was a monster. There I think any sort of limited narrative technique you just have to understand the the technique and use it to your advantage, Joseph says.
