In those days, in china, or nearly all writers were condemned. To be the writer was to enter the most dangerous profession. So i that's how i i lived through the cult revolution. And clearly it sowed the seeds for wanting to write. I mean, wild swans was the most incredible success. Did you ever think that you'd have this book sold in the millions in another language? Well, i never thought of selling books. When i was ild, when i loved writing, i couldn't dream of becoming a writer. It also requires some intelligence and some inquisitive mind.
