I hope we are moving away from this neat and tidy bare soil approach. I want something for those pollinators to find when they come into my garden. So the messy gardeners, the ones which are going to win out when it comes to climate change. It seems partly a factor of scale where you talk about plantation and cash cropping as an ideology or a farming style. And I think this applies pretty neatly to how urban areas use trees,. Helsinki is something like 50% Linden trees.
