"It's the perfect amount of like familiar but new cause it was fun looking at all the little details that are different than what the hobbits have," she says. "I would say that you could do the show without hobbits but it is a big boost to your ability to kind of trigger people's member berries when you include them." She adds, "The hobbits are the audience surrogate. Right? Like you're going on this big adventure with giant stakes and you're just out of your element".
