In 1972, John Stone House founded a bank to help Bangladesh citizens repatriate money. The idea was that they would raise about 10 million pounds today. But the Sunday Times article and a slight change in the business mood meant that when it came to tot up the numbers, they hadn't got the million pounds at all.
