Are We Thinking About It Wrong?

Are there more and more people of this view, that we're thinking about it wrong? Because sometimes when you look at the sociology of this, as you said, people aren't thinking about it that way at all. Particle physics is very awkward and backwards and historical. We had electrons and photons, and we had insights about very detailed features and very small effects which could be computed with huge accuracy. Ok, then we got to corks. And we have a mathematics that's supposed that has a very similar structure. But yet you're not supposed to not be able to have a single cork.
