I was still working for the NBA, but I knew there was a different way of approaching it. And that was actually why I decided to leave and get out of the NBA environment. The conference you did in Stanford when I was coaching put on by the the amazing Juan Gonzales, Mendia. That really changed everything for me. So long story short, went back home during COVID and I ended up in Italy after. This is my third season now here. We were applying a complete ecological approach to everything we do. Not just basketball, but like athletic performance and then just kind of how we view our daily interactions with players.
