There are experiments about animal behavior, ethologists with elephants. They poke around and spend more time with the elephant skull as if they kind of recognize that's a member of our species and different than me. And it looks like they're kind of not feeling too good about it. There's some inference there. My sense is that it's reasonable to make those infrnt.
