Health care professionals are under an increasing burden to stay current with the latest medical knowledge. The time it takes for medical knowledge to double went from 50 years back in 1950 to an estimated every two to three months by 2020. What was learned in the first years of medical school will be a tiny percentage of what is known by the time of graduation.
