The Relationship Between Sleep and Immune Function

There's a long standing literature linking sleep and how it affects our immune system. People who slept six or fewer hours per night on average were about four times more likely to develop the cold compared to people who slept more than seven hours. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine recommends at least seven hours per night to maintain optimal adult health.
