The Principle of Freedom in Stoicism
Stoicism says it's how we respond to what happens to us that sort of makes us or not. So for freedom I used the example of Epictetus the ancient philosopher Stoek who was enslaved but he believed that as a slave he was free. He thought he was more free than the master and I think that kind of spirit really spoke to some of my students.
