The Crowd Out of the Middle on a Y Axis of Political Engagement

In the mid 19 nineties, 26 % of americans defined themselves as moderates. To day, seven percent of Americans define themselves as moderates and they're less likely to vote than tribalists to the right and t left of them. The politically addicted share of the country gets more and more attention, but they're a smaller and smaller group of people. And so i think of it kind of like the aaa casino versus onkite model of how you consume political news.
