The Human Mind Needs to Be Able to Categorize Things

i don't think inventing false categories is the answer. For some things, you need rough and ready types of am distinction. We're always going to have those kinds of things. But i do think that it's essential to not make up categories where they don't exist in a way that makes them seem much sharper than they really are. It's very easy to be freaked out about things when you're coming from a place of everything is great now,. But look around, things are not great. Now, we can do so much better. And we have an obligation to do better.
