The Rise and Fall of Women's Football

Women's football has been much more popular than men's football, especially in schools. It was always the most popular in America for the last 20 years. The biggest ladies team was a ladies team from Preston called Dick Curs. They drew 53,000 people with another 10,000 to 15,000 reportedly turned away. To give the arrangement any semblance of an international event, the girls had the cheat to designate the farce England versus Scotland. So not a good review for the opening international match.
