The Dangers of Histamine Mediated Angiodema
histamine mediated angiodema is near on impossible I think to clinically differentiate from anaphylaxis. The treatment for that is pretty simple isn't it? If you are in doubt which type it is then you should give I am adrenaline. That is the way your patient is going to not slip through the net. However if you can clearly see whichtype it is okay then it is great to go on and treat that episode with things that might get that bradykinin mediated episode better.
