Is There Something Unique About the Book of Judges in the Old Testament?
Do you think that this increase in the culture of self determination, autonomy, call it what we will, that there's something uniquely american about it? So in our countries, is this something programmed into our national diane, yes, i think so. The people that came over to this country were almost exclusively shaking off the shackles and fetters of the old culture. And so yes, indeed, freedom. Don't tread on me. Don't tell me what to do. Don't tax me without my representation. I don't want some heteronymous imposition of an oppressive political or economic or cultural system.
