The Importance of Immigrant Workers in the Economy

There's been a lot of research done to that effect. The Cato Institute has done really good work seeing do native born workers get displaced by these lower skilled immigrant workers coming in and by and large there isn't huge displacement, right? They find very little effect on wages. Wages either stay the same or rise. There's also the the angle that immigrants are very entrepreneurial. So they're actually founding a lot of businesses when they come here and gain their footing. so they can be net job creators, not just filling the one or two jobs that they come here to fill.
