I'd Forgotten the Adding Machine
William S. Burroughs came from a wealthy, aristocratic family in the late 19th century. His first piece of published work was when he was 14 years old and wrote about mind control. He fell in love with a boy at school who was also gay but didn't tell anyone because he feared what would happen if someone found out. The book is inspired by burrowhs' relationship with his friend David kronenberg which led him to write naked films for lunch.
