The Pulling Force of Saudi Money
Cristiano Ronaldo is paid an inordinate amount of cash. He's also a pitchman for Saudi Arabia because he's done a deal with the tourism authority there. I talked to someone at Real Madrid recently, they told me that Karim Benzema, the centre forward again, he's in his mid 30s towards the end of his career. But still extremely talented was given the best award in football for individual players last year. So we couldn't stand in his way. It's this gravitational force of Saudi money or Gulf money, if you will. Pulling sport, pulling culture towards them. And like, you know, with the property bubble, it will eventually burst.
