The Importance of Tolerance
There are enormous number of people in the world who really want standard answers. And if you live your life a different way and you answer questions differently, that makes them feel like very uncomfortable. It takes a certain amount of strength not to succumb to fashion. I love it when people point out I'm wrong, explain to me why I'm wrong and I've been changed. That's great. I don't want to be wrong. I would love to be right. So I think there was a very insightful comment made by Larry Ellison about how we view people that are different ourselves. We have this tendency to think that we are very different than the people we surround ourselves with.
