Olaf Krugalsson is a neuroscientist at the University of Victoria. The brain on average only takes up about 2% of the body's weight, so relatively it's quite small. But it takes up more than 20% of our daily energy. And because the brain demands such high amounts of energy, foods we eat and the way we live our life greatly affect brain function.
