The FCC Blocking of Private Equity

The FCC has just said any deal that comes to us that has private equity back in debt financing or involves two companies getting bigger there's just no mergers and acquisitions in the space that can pass the FCC under that jurisdiction. The FCC seem like they've kind of taken on themselves to essentially do that but nowhere is that in their statutory authority. They interpret broadly both politically and legally and this is what they want to do with that so I thought it was a shot across the bow of private equity  and said ha ha this is the scandal that we're against.
