We Have More Wars Between Great Powers in the Multipolar World We Live In

When the Cold War ended in 1989, we moved from a bipolar world to a unipolar world. Today there are three great powers, the United States, China and Russia. The US-China dyad is more likely to turn into war than it was during the Cold War. In international politics, when you grow very powerful, the ideal situation is to dominate your region of the world. It's clear how Americans are reacting to this: They want to get out beyond the first island chain.
