The Importance of Philosophy in AI

We live in a very different world when we talk about AI funding, which is the largest companies in the world with the most money possible are working in the field. If it's research and research that may never get out of those companies or get out of corporate life, it's completely different. And I believe that this missing link between them is in some sense using these formal systems to be able to deal with perception and reasoning in a similar way as human beings to only more systematically.
