When I was the boss, when I was really very, very senior number one or number two in an organization, the decision making criteria I had to take into account were very different than any branch head or country head. And so it's our ego that prevents us from saying, hey, I'm here, I made my point clear and I can move on with whatever the boss decided. When we understand others, that's the beginning of us having more influence.
