Star Wars Canon, Star Wars Legends, and the Star Wars Expanded Universe
Disney has issued in this new canonicity, almost form of looking at Star Wars content. When you pick up a book that's been published by Lucasfilm or Del Rey today, it is considered Star Wars Canon. It does have relevance to the current content that's being released in terms of TV shows, other books, other films. So they've been sub-labeled as Star Wars Legends and Expanded Universe things. A good example of that would be the 2D Clone Wars animated series, and the 4 Sun Leached video games,. All those things are very much not canon.
