techno chauvinism is a belief that technology, or technological solutions, are superior to other solutions. And if somebody really believes in techno schovinism, it's very hard to convince them otherwise. The right tool for the task is something simple, like a book in the hands of a child sitting in its parents lap. One is not inherently better than the other.
