Kistama's Speech at the Progressive Britain Conference
Connor Jones writes about Kistama's speech on Saturday. There were elements of it which were quite interesting, but I was worried by the number of echoes to the Blair technique from 1994 to 1997. He condemned the Conservatives for not conserving and being conservative enough. This is a unique political project in choosing to imitate a previous one. But Connor also agrees with my concerns about it. Much of the speech felt overtly reliant on new Labour buzzwords and looking back to the past. The other option is the Tory party. You won't like that even more.
