In the event of a pandemic, we might want to reorient how we produce food such that it involves less interaction between people. We also rase the issue of communication going down. Couldn't people still communicate by i don't know, i gess, like sorts of radios that work for this if you really needed to. And so one thing we've looked at is short wave radio, are sometimes known as ham radio. You can have a 20 thousand dollar system that can actually communicate cross an ocean. It could only be a few million dollars to have a back up communication system.
