Is There a Silver Bullet Solution to Climate Breakdown?

Putting a price of carbon has often been considered by economists as a silver bullet solution to climate breakdown. But if we want to put a price on carbon, then we need to do it in a way that accounts for inequality, that accounts for also different sectors. We cannot have both the private jets and the stek at every meal, and, you know, the hitach surgery and the dentist and clean water and all this kind of stuff. So i thinkth the cutionary tale of the french carbon taxes is showing us that we need a variety of policies. There is going to be no silver bullet.
