Oger Tours and Bergen Air Flight 301

Bergen Air Flight 301 was chartered by a Turkish charter company that was established in 1988. The first officer and the relief pilot had only been flying, the 757 was new for them. Bergen Air owned 10% of Oger Tours; they entered into partnership with this other Dominican company called Alas Nationales. They rented its Boeing 757 to the Argentine airline STAF in November of 95 and used it on five flight pairs between the Dominican Republic and Buenos Aires. After the lease ended in January of 96, that Boeing 757 was parked in Porto Plata, Dominican Republic.
