You can't just tell them because they immediately turn off when you do that. So it's very much that they have to come to that conclusion themselves. And I think that does tie in a lot with manual therapy discussion as well. Those individuals that are early pain modulators, pain-adaptive individuals tend to have better short and long-term outcomes than those who don't demonstrate that behavior with manual therapy.
