The New Carnegie Hall Logo

For 130 years, carnegie hall has invited passers by at 57 street and seventh avenue to glimpse the marquis names on the concert schedule listings. Inspired by the beautiful stained glass lhat en te top these poster cases, our new logo captures this magical history while guiding us into the future. Basing the design work around two found artifacts at the physical location was a great solution. Its side steps the criticism of design just being vain and attempting to look pretty, and anchors the brand back in something more substantial like history. They also worked through a tumultuous time for the organization and the world, and found a way to keep the project moving forward.
