The Value of Non Clinical Case Studies
The clinical case study has been central in psychoanalysis since freud, who kind hof provided the exemplar of what clinical case study is. And then also vignettes, which are a kind of, i suppose, a description of a particular experience that occurs during a session. Both of these are really, really important ways of communicating. So they're really useful in terms of training context. It's really useful to read about something that a psychoanalyst has learnt about their own practice and wants to communicate to other people through writing about it. Often itsi'sits often beautifully expressed m and you can learn from it, but you learn from it intellectually.
