Ken McCarthy and the Debt Bill

McCarthy succeeded in essentially uniting Republicans behind a bill and he got the White House to sit down. Didn't get everything he wanted but basically a success for him. Reading the press coverage all along was constantly Ken McCarthy keep his speak speakership through all of this. The secret in these negotiations is not what's in the package. How do you sell it? You have to go out and rub your nose in it. And Kevin McCarthy and Joe Biden appear to be much better at this than I did.
