The Myth of Student Engagement

I'm hearing that's not what's happening right now in classrooms, I'm hearing the attentiveness level. And maybe it never was. That ideal might be that impossible ideal may be shaping our understanding of it. Maybe saying what's a realistic goal for all of us being engaged in learning today in this classroom. It's not going to look like necessarily it looks like on TV.
