Is There an Appetite for Better Metrics?

The scientific american is a hundred and 75 years old. We tend to repeat some of the same topics, you know, every three, five, ten years. So i feel like in some cases, diving into the archives of publications would allow for some natural variation. And then maybe later, doing so may be testing ond finding out which ones are best.
